Super Speedy Baby Blanket
Version One
Sometimes you need a quick baby gift that doesn't look like a quick baby gift. Made of a thick, organic, undyed cotton, this blanket not only works up quickly, but gives baby a soft, textured place to nap that won't irritate even the most sensitive skin. Have an adult friend who is allergic to wool or chemical dyes? Buy some more yarn and continue the pattern as established to make an adult sized throw.
Beginner level crochet: 36" finished when measured point to point. Materials needed include 325 yards each of two colors of heavy worsted weight yarn. (Model is in Joseph Galler Inca Cotton in Ur and Ecru), crochet hook size I/9/5.5mm, and a tapestry needle to weave in ends.. $5.00 via instant download.
